Quick
Reference Guide of service
requirements:
We've provided this quick reference guide
of some of the most common questions that
come up regarding our legal policies. This
is not a complete list of all our
policies, and this summary does not serve
as a replacement for reading to and
agreeing to our terms
and conditions,
acceptable
use policy,
domain
terms
or privacy
policy.
By ordering a X9 Internet unlimited
account you acknowledge that you have read
in full and agree to our Terms and
Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy and
Privacy Policy.
- Payment
must be received by 11:59pm (GMT) on
the day invoices are due.
- Because
our unlimited web hosting service is
provided from a shared server platform,
you cannot host an application or
website which requires very high CPU
and memory and which should be hosted
on a dedicated server. Unlimited web
hosting only applies to disk space and
bandwidth. CPU and memory is not
unlimited due to physical hardware
limits.
- A
X9 Internet unlimited web hosting
account is not suitable to be used as a
games server.
- We
do not permit IRC on our network.
- We
do not allow the hosting of download
sites as they can be very resource
demanding. Check with us first before
you set up a download site.
- You
cannot use our unlimited service to
store files which are not connected to
your website. Our unlimited web hosting
service is for hosting websites. We do
NOT offer an unlimited online file
storage service.
- You
cannot host copyright material without
a licence or the permission of the
copyright holder.
- Multimedia
websites which contain a lot of flash
video and sound may be subject to a
bandwidth quota limit of 25 Gb per
month.
- You
cannot use our unlimited service to
host an application or website which
requires or was designed for a
non-shared environment such as a
dedicated server or virtual private
server.
- You
can create hosting accounts for your
clients for whom you are building
websites, but you cannot resell a
hosting account. You remain solely
responsible for every hosting account
you create and its conduct.
- Where
you are creating websites and hosting
accounts for your clients, any support
request regarding such hosting accounts
must be submitted by you. We cannot
support your clients directly.
- Hosting
accounts which send out spam will be
disabled. You are advised not to store
your passwords inside your FTP or MAIL
client because this is quickly picked
up by the many scripts which are
circulating the Internet to mine for
login details. You are responsible for
all your files and data and must back
them up regularly. In the event your
website is compromised, we will disable
it and you can then restore it from an
uninfected backup.
- WordPress
Sites: When setting up a WordPress
site you are required to always update
to the newest version as soon as it is
published. You are required to create a
new admin user by choosing a difficult
to guess username and assigning
administrator rights to this admin user
and then delete the default user
'admin'. Wordpress sites which are
found to run with out of date
applications and managed by the user
'admin' will have their hosting
accounts shut down.
- Email
limits: 1000 in any 12 hour period,
unless you are using the mailing list
feature which can be used as many times
a day as you like, provided each list
has no more than 2,500 subscribers. You
may send unlimited emails using a mail
client such as Outlook and the X9
Internet mail relay, but you may not
send the same message to more than 100
recipients. Webmail is not designed for
heavy use and you are limited to 50
emails per day.
- X9
Internet respects the privacy and
security of its customers and users of
its website. However, we may need to
disclose your information to other
companies in order to process and/or
provide services ordered, such as
domain names. Full details of how we
collect, use and disclose your
information is available in our privacy
policy.
